oN tonight’s #DWTS, it was Halloween! Everyone got to dress up. It even goes with their theme tonight. The theme was “Monster Night”. The contestants all dressed up like monsters while everyone else just got to wear their normal costumes. Niecy Nash was the guest judge tonight. She was dressed up as Jessica Rabbit because only she could truly pull it off. She would normally be promoting her ABC show around this time. Only the ongoing strike has severely affected the fall line-up. It was still good to see her and she ended up enjoying herself tonight.

Up first was Jason Mraz. He and Daniella were dressed up as zombies. They were given Contemporary tonight and it seems have tested the man who could do everything. The singer/songwriter had some glitches with his dance tonight. Some felt he wasn’t fully selling it. The only one that thought his dance was near flawless was Niecy. Niecy said she loved every minute of his dance. She couldn’t wait to see more and, while Jason failed to grab a ten tonight, he went on to get nines from all four judges. Thirty-six out of forty wasn’t too bad!

Allyson Hannigan was up next. She received her highest score last week. She was hoping to get even better tonight with her Paso Doble. She and Sasha both love Halloween. Allyson got a lot of Halloween props from her time on “Buffy”. She still has them at her house. So, Allyson had no problems with being a vampire tonight. She took to it like duck to water and sure there were mistakes. Allyson wasn’t really a dancer, but her acting as well as her memorization tricks help to carry the day for her.

Allyson won sevens from three of the judges. She won an eight from Bruno. She has a score of twenty-nine out of forty and that wasn’t so bad either. Next up was Xochitl Gomez. She scored her first ten last week. She was feeling proud of herself and she was also feeling the pressure. She knew that tonight could either show last episode was a fluke or cement her position as the best celebrity dancer this season. Which is why she gave her Contemporary dance her everything. She and Val had come with an idea of making Val a sorcerer that brings her back to life.

They fought for supremacy in their dance. It was great to watch. Unfortunately, Xochitl ended up injuring herself. She needed Val to carry her up to the booth and so thankfully the injury came after the dance. She won three nines. And one ten from Neicy. She had the highest score so far with thirty-seven. Up next was Harry Jowsey. He was another one that wasn’t really a dancer. Its why he ended up in the bottom three last week and so he was hoping to change that with his dance tonight. He received additional help from both his partner and his partner’s sister.

Rylee’s sister was also a dancer. She’s even been on the show and the two look exactly alike. They helped Harry tonight. Harry got to be an alien as he performed Argentine Tango with Rylee. Only he was so stiff. His performance tonight was the best he’s done this routine. It just might not be enough to save him. The judges keep giving him feedback. He simply wasn’t learning as quickly as he should and so he got sevens all around tonight. Twenty-eight out of forty was a high for him. He has to wait to the end to see if he survives another week.

Barry Williams was up next. He was playing the wolf and Peta was playing Little Red Riding Hood. He had to chase her all throughout the woods. He had a good score last week. He wanted to do better this week with his Viennese Waltz. Barry wanted to be a serious contender for the crown and he couldn’t be that by making mistakes. Some of which he continued to make tonight. Derek felt he got lost in the story rather than dance. Carrie Anne loved this dance for Barry. Neicy only had good things to say. And Bruno was hopeful for Barry.

Barry ultimately got three eights and one seven. Derek gave him the seven. He got thirty-one out of forty. It was a good night for him. Next up was Ariana Madix. She was dancing the Argentine Tango with Pasha tonight. She was also playing a demon. She’s dressed up as a winter demon before and so this was right up her alley. The dance on the other hand was something she viewed as brutal. She struggled during rehearsals. She never gave up though and she pushed until she got her best score so far. She won three nines and one ten from Bruno. Resulting in thirty-seven out of forty!

Ariana was tied with Xochitl. Next up was Lele Pons. She received a great score last week. She and her partner have mostly been stuck in the middle of the pack and Brandon wanted to change that tonight. They were given the Paso Doble. They dressed up as characters from “Wednesday”. Lele did her best and her best wasn’t good enough for Carrie Anne. Carrie Anne felt she went backwards tonight. She was so critical that she gave Lele an eight. Derek and Neicy did the same. Bruno surprised everyone by giving her a nine. She has a score of thirty-three out of forty.

Mauricio Umansky was next. He had a breakthrough last week. He got triple eights and that was his highest score so far in the competition. He was hoping to continue improving. Emma had said he liked to be someone who leads only him dressing up a member of the undead helped with his Argentine Tango tonight. Some saw improvement. Others saw him losing himself in the dance. He went on to score three eights and one seven. Surprisingly, the seven came from Neicy. And he now has a score of thirty-one out of forty.

Up next was Charity. Charity was the first this season to score a ten last week. She credited Artem for her success. She said her dancing partner has helped bring out her inner dancer and he helped make things fun for her. They were given the Jive tonight. Charity really enjoyed doing it during rehearsals. Then she made mistakes during the live show. Nothing drastic or anything. There was just certain moves that weren’t as smooth as they should be. Neicy was her harshest critic tonight. She gave her an eight while everyone else gave her a nine. She still had thirty-five out of forty.

The show also had their first dance-a-thon tonight. They got to dance until the judges dismiss them and the longer they stayed the more points they got added to their overall score tonight. The winners of that challenge was Xochitl and Val. They held on through the Hustle and the Charleston. They danced the full four minutes. They were rewarded with the highest score of the night. They also got red glitter poured on them in tribute to the movie “Carrie”.

And the two that got eliminated tonight turned out to be Mauricio and Emma.

THE END!
