What else should I know about Conan Osíris?

His real name is Tiago Miranda, and he was born in Lisbon but lived in Cacém for a few years. He took the first part of his name, Conan, from the Japanese anime film Future Boy Conan, which was directed by Hayao Miyazaki who he shares the same birthday with, although there are 48 years between them. As for the second half of the stage name, Osíris, comes from Egyptian Mythology, the symbol for rebirth and resurrection. As well as a singer, he is a self-taught dancer, songwriter, composer, and producer.

He started out on his music career as Conan Osíris by composing music for fashion shows. In 2014, he dropped his debut EP, titled Silk, which was an instrumental-only album, containing six tracks and two years later he followed it up with his debut album Música, Normal. Then, in late 2017, he released his third album, Adoro Bolos, which gained recognition when he performed some of the tracks live on TV.

In 2018, he was invited to compose a track for Festival da Canção 2019, which is Portugal’s national selection show for Eurovision. He created and competed with the track “Telemóveis”, going on to win the show and the right to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
